The Tampa Bay Lightning (38-16-4) defeated the Buffalo Sabres (35-19-6) 6-2 on Saturday night at Benchmark International Arena in Tampa. It was the second straight loss for Tampa Bay.
Josh Norris scored twice to lead the Sabres to the win. The Lightning got goals from Dominic James and Victor Hedman in the losing effort. The Sabres scored the first five goals of the game leading 5-0 early in the second period before Tampa Bay got on the board.
The Lightning are next in action when they travel to Minnesota to play the Wild on Tuesday night. Puck drop Tuesday between the Lightning and Wild is scheduled for 9:30 PM at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.
